Repairs

I try to repair & salvage original parts IF possible, unfortunately sometimes this is not possible particularly with some family of Singer machines that were produced in Brazil (1980's - 2000's) with very cheap parts - for example:

Singer machine chassis produced with 100% plaster (PLASTER)

Singer machines with some particular split nylon gears that we might be able to extract out of the US but will cost more than machine is worth; in this instance I will give you honest advice & let you know your options.

Other newly built top branded machines which have passed through my door have also disappointed when covers have been removed & I take these findings to my customers for discussion.

I REPAIR / MAKE GOOD / PAT TEST

Original Electric motors - rewire if saveable (sometimes wires are exposed into the winding which has been Impreged & then they cannot be saved.

Foot controls - rewires are possible (Newer foot controls have all in 1 moulded sockets & fittings but let me take a look before you order new)

Light bulb sockets - rewires and replacement bulb fittings if required.

Switches.

Some of the early computerised 2000AD Bernina machines have known electrical defects. They may work now but could fail at anytime. Had PCB circuitry issues that IF not plugged in for after 6 months start to degrade.

I also PAT TEST machines which is not only for your safety but also mine, particularly the old machines which do not have plastic as an insulation.
